Boxing Ring

Year

Spring 2021

Location

Los Angeles

The Boxers' Box is an unconventional outdoor boxing ring developed through a series of subtractive modeling techniques and processes. The resulting experimental form embodies the notions of both symmetry and contrast in order to create a space worthy of competition among athletes and fans alike. The main idea behind boxing was to have each building represent its own team where the center of the site would be where the two meet for a duel. From locker rooms and workout rooms to stadium seating and concession stands, the Boxers' Box is decked out with everything a boxing ring would need to create a knockout experience.
